RO-BUST – non-detonating demolition for mines
RO-BUST is used to break rock not from first excavation in a continuous production cycle in the excavation operations in mines characterized by dense mineralized body. Safe, efficient, and reliable, RO-BUST is the system of breakage of larger-than-normal masses, up to 10 m3 with a single blow, all in a cycle of a brief 3 minute duration.
The system is ideally suitable for a secondary breakage near loading points, in excavation operations, in mines characterized by dense mineralized body.
RO-BUST is made to function at a distance and can be attached to any vehicle used in mining activity.
Breakage of 100 masses for each 8-hour shift
Operation
RO-BUST is positioned in front of the rock. A hole is made in the rock. fig. 1
The drill is retracted and the RoBust nozzle is inserted into the rim of the hole.
The operator selects the number of RoBust cartridges and the cartridges are automatically unloaded across the nozzle until the edge of the hole created. fig. 2
A water charge, originating from the RO-BUST accumulator, is released at high pressure inside the hole.
The cartridges are triggered, and the rock breaks.
The launch of rock fragments is greatly reduced, and the cycle can be repeated immediately.fig. 3
The entire operation requires only about 3 minutes.
